My wife and I are enthusiastic motor caravanners. Unfortunately the effects of a stroke two years ago now make it impossible for her to manage the high steps into our coachbuilt Autosleeper. She can manage perfectly well once in the van and does not need a wheelchair. She uses a mobility scooter and I can not recommend them highly enough for anyone who can manage very simple controls. Ours has been on planes and cruise ships to several continents.
I have tried, in vain, to find a lift which will lift her up and into the van.
The benimar eurable has a lift on the back to the rear access door but I am reluctant to swop to such a large van.
Also, at over £40,000, the price is considerable.
We would be most grateful for any suggestions.

Hi, we too are enthusiastic motorcaravaners. We started with a conversion van but to be honest that never worked. We then bought a Sea CPT which has a lift on the side but have now upgraded to the Nirvana Oasis which also has a lift on the side but comes with a garage perfect for a scooter. We have found a fantastic company called Nirvana Motorhomes who specialise in Accessible Motorhomes. They have a variety of motorhomes and sometimes have second hand motorhomes. Call Mark on 07850 710274 (or view the website www.nirvanarv.com) who is very helpful even if he cannot help he is very knowledgeable and can probably point you in the right direction. Many thanks for that, Lesley. I have been hoping not to go to a 'van of that size but that is obviously an option.
