At the end of this month the DRC will be closing its doors to make way for the new Commission for Equality and Human Rights. I’m concerned that the new CEHR just won’t be able to provide the same level of expertise if it’s also advising on issues of race etc. I’ve always found the DRC to be really helpful with any queries I’ve had and I think they’ve made some amazing gains in the past few years. What do others think about what it’s achieved and what’s going to happen to disability rights now that it’s closing?
