I am looking to take my husband, who is a wheelchair user, abroad next year. Can anyone recommend a good place to go in Europe or a good holiday company that could find me fully accessible accommodation?

Why not try Spain? With all the ex-pats out there, there are plenty of accessible venues and even equipment hire, especially in the more popular areas like the Costa Blanca. Keep checking Able Magazine as well, they have holiday articles in every edition of the magazine so it's worth having a look at where they feature.
I'd recommend you try Access at Last, a really good holiday company who vet all their properties for accessibility. www.accessatlast.com or 01772 814 555.
Good luck!!!

Hi there,

Look at www.la-sonrisa.com

We have several apartments available in a nice relaxed environment about 5 km from Benidorm Spain.

Greetings,

La Sonrisa

I'm looking to go to Italy this summer. Does anyone know if any of these disability groups are any good. You here of so many of them saying they'll organise your holiday, excursions etc but how do you know who to trust? Anybody ever went with them? Smile

I tried a cruise the other year and am now hooked on them. Most ships are very accessible and if you dont want to go trudging up steep hills to look at things like fallen down churches, then just stay on board, enjoy the entertainment, the views and the sunshine.

Ideal way to chill out and at your own pace. Smile
