Walking problems!

Walking problems!

Postby sha71ron on Tue Apr 08, 2008 5:17 pm

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to find out if there is any possible way about getting a driveway done, i was suppose to get one done about 7 years ago on the disability grant but a housing association took over, when i was near to the top of the list, so they would only do my shower and stairlift.

Since then i have bought my house and got in touch with my OT again to see if i could get it done, but they turned me down last week. Saying they only do them for people in wheelchairs. :( I use a walking stick but cant walk very far.

So i was hoping if anyone knew of any other way of getting this done, i have looked into this myself and i cant afford the costs as im on a low income. I was told there are places out there that would help with the cost but i dont know were to start looking.
Please Help!
Thanks
Sharon
